Positano is a sea-side city on the Amalfi Coast in Italy with a panoramic of colors. Pyramid of Positano. The rock morphology of this town of under 4,000 creates a natural pyramid of brightly-painted buildings. Beach-goers are fortunate to gaze upon this unique shape of architecture as they lie on the beach or float in the salty water. It is believed that the town, developed around a Benedictine abbey, was founded in the 9th century.

The artist Paul Klee (1879- 1940) described Positano as ‘the only place in the world conceived on a vertical rather than a horizontal axis.’
