About Me

Hey everyone!

Ever since I was young, I’ve had a fascination with photography and finding new ways to express my creativity. Creating a blog of my own is another stepping stone of that.  Home for me is Iowa. Born and raised in a community of less than 1,000 people, I learned how to work hard, lend a helping hand to others, and enjoy simplicities of all kinds. I’m fortunate enough to be a part of an amazing family. My parents, Bill and Jenny, are two of the most dedicated and loving role models in my life. They, along with my two older sisters, Jessica & Larissa, have taught me more about life than I could imagine.

I’ve always enjoyed active pursuits. Growing up, I’d be the one following my sisters around or inventing new games to play with my friends. Fast forward to high school, and I was a four-sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, track, and softball) as well as a four-club member (Student Council, FFA, 4-H, American Legion Auxiliary). Fast forward to the present day, and you’ll find me routinely waking  up each morning, working out, and completing homework, work, or other productive activities. As tiring as it may sound to some, I love it! In my free time, I’m often running, shopping, exploring, and spending time with those who mean the most: my family, friends, boyfriend- Tim, and my awesome pets. I’m a believer that putting yourself out there and staying active is one of the best ways to live. However, I also believe in pausing to reflect and relax. Although it can be hard in such a busy world, I know it’s important to focus on my health & happiness too.

At the University of Nebraska Omaha, I’m studying Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Management, and Real Estate. I never saw myself as one to study abroad. As I said, I come from a small town and a wonderful family, so why would I ever want to leave? Potential. The potential for incredible adventures and the potential for self-growth is why. I have never traveled alone before, let alone outside of my home country and as daunting as it appeared, I took a leap of faith and began this new journey. I’m so grateful I did. I’m learning so much about myself and about life. Join me on my adventures and watch for weekly updates here and on my social media!
